Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. I setup my first Squidoo lens titled Rick Butts Squidoo Lens but it's all messed up. But at least Iv'e got this blog theme looking a bit better.

Yeah, it's a Semiologic Pro and you've seen the theme before but it is so SEO rich and feature loaded - (and I know how to run it ) that I just couldn't resist.

Waaaay back in 2004 I first heard the phrase "blog and ping."

Armand Morin was talking about using it in his Traffic Generator class - utilizing Directory Generator to build panding pages for AdSense.

Blog and Ping was a strategy to quickly get these new sites into the search engines.

I did a search for Blog and Ping and there was essentially no information in the search engines for that term. The results were basically about "pinging" but not B and P.

There were no AdWords ads - and there were darn sure no products for sale.

That day I bought this domain http://www.BlogandPing.com - and proceeded to create a video tutorial about how to do it - so that I could show my daughter how to do this neat little process - because it was time consuming.

I shared this on the Traffic Equalizer forum and people encouraged me to make it a full fledged product. I had no idea that would become a gigantic seller - and lead to automated solutions - and spawn an entire industry.

Fast forward to 2007 - I sold out a batch of my domains to Mike Filsaime including this URL. I wanted out of the business of creating products to Internet marketers to a man who had incredible products for this industry.

After the umpteenth person said "Hey, I know you - you are the Blog and Ping guy!" I wished I had not sold this domain.

So now, the uber-generous Mike Filsaime has agreed to share this cool domain with me - and we are firing up the site with this blog.
